No, due to the nature of my business all of my appointments must be made ahead of time through the booking website Vagaro. There you can select a time that works best for you and fill out any required forms at your own leisure, without needing a prior appointment or lengthy phone call. Thank you for your understanding!
Yes! I always start with a consultation for every client that walks through my door, no matter if this is their first session or their hundredth.
I do this to ensure that I can help set expectations for future appointments. It also gives me the needed time to go over your intake form and medical history to ensure I am providing you with a safe and suitable service as well as time to assess your skin and hair to find the perfect amount of energy that will destroy the hairs with the least amount of discomfort.
While I am not currently paneled with any insurance companies, I can provide you with a superbill which you can provide to your insurance company to receive reimbursement.
The insertion of the probe should not cause any pain as it does not penetrate the skin and only slides through the open follicle to the base of the hair. When the current is applied to the follicle you may experience a mild stinging sensation (much like a pinch). Some areas are more or less sensitive than others and everyone has a different level of pain tolerance so your results may vary. However, many clients find that the benefits of permanent hair removal far outweigh any potential discomfort. I highly recommend coming in and booking a free consultation so you can test your tolerance yourself. We can also discuss other options for pain relief such as topical numbing creams during the consultation if needed.
Yes! Some of the more shallow ingrown hairs close to the surface of the skin can be treated with electrolysis. Though I always recommend speaking to a dermatologist before having ingrowns treated with electrolysis to ensure that you are receiving treatment best suited to your skin type. If you are interested in having these hairs removed let me know at your next session or during your first consultation and I will be able to help determine if electrolysis is the best path for you.
